Our Approach
We want to convey that Heartland Community Church is a place where all visitors can feel welcome, accepted and strengthened by God’s love and grace. At Heartland, we believe that by providing a church that is relevant, relaxed and relational, we can begin to meet the spiritual needs of the people around us.
We seek to offer a modern worship experience that celebrates who God is and that helps us to reflect on what He wants to do in our lives in a relaxed, relevant and relational atmosphere.
Relaxed
We do not apologize for seeking to offer a relaxed approach to church. Our desire is for people to feel comfortable coming to church just the way they are.
Relevant
Many people insist that the reason they do not go to church is because it is not relevant to their lives. Our goal in everything we attempt to do is to be relevant in the “real world”, addressing life issues in a faith environment.
Relational
We do not believe that God intends us to live isolated from others in this world. As a church, our aim is to provide a relational environment that helps to connect people in Christian friendships that will last a lifetime.
Concentration on People
The fundamental reason we exist is to meet the spiritual needs of people. Our primary responsibility is to those who are searching for a deeper connection with God.
Community in Groups
Community is the Christian life in association with others. Our “connection groups” exist to form and build friendships, to strengthen faith, and to provide care for those who are hurting.
